RV college of Engineering is an autonomous Engineering college affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in Bangalore owned by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST). The inception of the institution was back in 1963, and it is one of the oldest self-financing engineering colleges in the whole country. It is one among the top 10 private engineering colleges in India to study B.E/B.Tech/M.tech/MBA/MCA courses. There are more than 150 engineering colleges located in Karnataka under VTU and among them RV College of Engineering is one of the top private college under VTU university. Applicants who belong to Karnataka are offered admission into the engineering course based on the KCET score. However, selection of students belonging to other states depends upon COMEDK score.
Apart from BE, the college also offers admission in M.Tech and MCA provided at PG level. To get admission in M.Tech requires a valid score in GATE/PGCET while the institute considers the score of KMAT/PGCET exams for MCA.
