St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, a part of St. Joseph’s College was started in the year 1882 as an educational initiative by the French foreign mission Fathers. In 1937, it was then handed over to Jesuits, which is a global Catholic religious order with a special focus on upliftment of education. Loyola Colleges, St. Xavier’s College Calcutta and St. Xavier’s College Mumbai are some of the other premier institutions in India run by the Jesuit Order. The Department of Commerce was established in the parent college in 1949. In 1972, this department became an independent college under the name St. Joseph’s College of Commerce.

Admission in St. Joseph’s College of Commerce

Under UG programs, the institution offers admission for B. Com program with specializations of Travel and Tourism, BPM (Industry Integrated), Professional - International Accounting and Finance, (Analytics) and Under BBA, Professional - Finance and Accountancy, Entrepreneurship are being offered.

The admission process begins in the month of February every year for all UG and PG programmes. For BBA, the aspirants need to appear for SMAT, entrance exam of St. Joseph’s, followed by GD and Interview. B. Com admissions are provided based on merit. B. Com professional and BBA admissions are given through the entrance exam conducted by the college.

Under PG sector, M. Com specializations are of Regular, International Business and Financial Analysis are offered. PGD programs are also offered by T. Joseph’s College.

SJCC Application Process 2022

1. The application forms must be filled and submitted online through college webportal.

2. Application fee has to be paid online.

3. The DD Number or the receipt number shall be entered in the space provided in the application form If you have paid the application fees through Demand Draft (DD) or at the College premises.

4. The application number shall note down once the application is made. The same should be quoted for all further processes during the time of admissions.
